A Copper Cuff Built From Overlapping Discs

The band is made of small round discs, each one lapped over the next the way roof tiles or fish scales run, so the surface is a continuous row of soft curves rather than a flat strip. The copper is left with a brushed, matt finish that shows the warm colour without a mirror shine, and the disc edges catch a little more light than the middles.

It is an open cuff, so it slides on from the side of the wrist and can be eased in or out by hand. The scaled surface gives it more presence than a plain band without adding much width. It sits well on its own and against a rolled shirt sleeve.
