Large Hoop Earrings Hung Beneath a Stamped Oval Stone

Each earring starts as an oval stone in a plain silver-tone bezel, with a wide flat hoop hanging from a small ring underneath it. The outer face of the hoop is stamped the whole way round with four-petal flowers, arrowheads and short bars, and the recesses are darkened so the pattern stands out against the polished edges. The inside of the hoop is left smooth.

They hang from the stud rather than sitting rigid, so they move as you turn your head, and the drop clears a collar without catching on knitwear. Both the red-orange and the green stone sit well with denim, tan leather and cream linen. An easy gift for someone who already wears a lot of silver-tone pieces.
