A Vintage-Look Promise Ring With a Raised Solitaire Stone

The stone sits raised in a squared-off head with a claw at each corner, high enough that light gets underneath it and comes back up through the facets. On either side the shoulders narrow into a small leaf shape before the band drops away, and the band itself is slim and plain so nothing competes with the centre.

The proportions are old-fashioned in a deliberate way, closer to a ring inherited than one bought new. It wears well on its own on the ring finger, or stacked above a plain band. Eight sizes are listed, from 5 through to 12, so it can be matched to a finger rather than resized.
