Silver-Tone Opal Earrings Shaped as Long-Armed Starfish

Each earring is a five-armed starfish with the arms drawn out to fine points, and the opal is inlaid in a recessed groove that runs the length of every arm. The metal is left bright and polished on both sides of that groove, so the opal sits inside a silver-tone outline rather than covering the whole face of the star.

They hang from a plain hook wire with a small ball and coil above the loop, which gives them a light swing when you turn your head. Long enough to show below a bob, small enough for a working day. The blue is the boldest of the three, the white the quietest, with green in between.
